About Us

The Genthner House was built in 1902 in Guilford, Maine. A colonial-style mansion sitting on a hill overlooking the Piscataquis River, The Genthner House has been home to many prominent leaders of the community. One of the more beautiful rooms in this house, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is the library. With wall to ceiling book shelves, a large brick fireplace and hundreds of books dating back to the 1700s, the library is the perfect place to enjoy a good book, and it in that room where the idea for Genthner House Publishing Co was conceived.

Created to support Maine authors—to give Maine writers a platform to publish their works, Genthner House Publish Co. works with Maine writers of all levels, all genres, and all ages.
